That&#8217;s because this behaviour is by design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Microsoft states: &#8222;When an object is moved within the same volume, the object preserves its permissions by default.&#8220; and &#8222;When you copy or move an object to another volume, the object inherits the permissions of its new folder.&#8220;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change either behaviour with a simple registry modification.
